In Lullaby, To The Dot of Two Clocks, a mysterious two- dimensional landscape, sceptical faces emerge scratched out from the surface of a long and ramified bone, snaking in a dark and fluid setting. The title is borrowed from a poem by Irish poet Seamus Heaney, which starts by narrating the childhood memory of the kitchen where his auntie is cooking, and continues until the poet is immersed in that past reality and the memory becomes present, the imagined senses, palpable ones. With this painting Londi introduces painted collages of photochromic plastic sheets on the canvas to create subaltern realities that 'mushroom new worlds', as well as photochromic lenses (commonly used for optical glasses sponsored by Transitions Lenses) that become planets, moons, suns, clocks, mirrors, simultaneously wired to past and present temporalities.
